This raised ranch bungalow is situated 20 miles west of Toronto with close access to highways and beside the countryside. It's a great location to relax in your private pool with slide after your many activities. The gate in the back yard takes you to a secluded park for playing ball and frisbee with family and friends. The trampoline is available for those who need more exercise. A hot tub will soothe aching muscles from a day of site seeing. Shopping is across the street. Rail service and GO bus into Toronto is within walking distance. A car is a must to see everything. The surrounding countryside has quaint villages where local Mennonites sell their quilts; the Lion Safari that is famous for its interactive drive through is 10 minutes away. North of Mohawk Raceway is a Railway Museum. Each Saturday there is the local market on a closed main street that is a 10 minute walk or 5 minute ride (on the 4 bikes provided) from the house. Mountain biking for all levels is at the top of Kelso Conservation.
There is horse racing and gambling at Mohawk Raceway and Casino; horseback/pony riding in local forests at "the Ranch": snow skiing/boarding at Glen Eden with highly qualified instructors for beginners to advanced, hiking, biking and rock climbing in the nearby Halton Conservation Authority;HCA has nature parks to see. Mountsberg has the Birds of Prey and many cross-country trails in the winter and walking trails in the summer. March is the "sugar Shack" time of the maple surup festival. Hilton Falls has many trails for hiking, biking and cross country skiing. Crawford Lake has the Indian village with many walking trails around the lake. The famous Bruce Trail runs through the nearby escarpment. Fishing in the local waterways. There are 6 golf courses surrounding the town. The Town of Milton has indoor ice skating year round so bring your skates. Within an hours drive are Niagara Falls and the forts and shops of quaint Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Spectrum Airways is a 10 min drive to where you can arrange for air tours around the local area, Niagara Falls and orbit the CN Tower.
The Ranch has horseback riding tours in the local countryside for those 10 yrs. and older. Pony rides for those under 10 yrs.
